The “I Am” sayings. Jesus is the author and sustainer of physical and spiritual life (Jn 1:4). The fullness of the Deity resides in Him (Col 2:9).

Humility/meekness. Turning the other cheek (Lk 6:28-29) and finding peace in humility (Gal 5:22-23). As long as we put God first, He will exalt us at the right time (1 Pet 5:6).

How to redeem time in a way that’s honoring to God (Rom 12:2; 1 Pet 2:15). Believers are urged to continually walk in wisdom (Col 4:5).

The good soldier of Christ Jesus. Modern military mottos and how they connect to commands for believers in the Word of God (Josh 1:9; Ps 27:14).

God is able. God is able to help us overcome our greatest idols (Mt 19:26), deliver us from sin (Heb 7.25), provide strength (Phil 4:13) and wisdom (Jas 1:5), and so much more.

The five techniques of the Christian way of life. The key to victory in the Christian life is to utilize these techniques. Examples: Paul, Peter, David, Timothy, and Mary.
Lesson 18 - February 7, 2024
Factors of effective faith. Examples: Daniel (Dan 11:32-35), Abraham, Moses, David, and Peter. People who know their God shall stand firm and take action (v. 32).
Lesson 17 - January 31, 2024
Commands for Christian soldiers. Our strength comes from our knowledge of Bible doctrine (Eph 6:11; Rom 12:2) and faith in the Triune God (2 Pet 1:2).
Lesson 16 - January 24, 2024
Fellowship with God. Examples: Moses, Enoch (Gen 5:24), Abraham, David, Elijah (1 Kings 18: 20ff), Daniel, and Jesus. God spoke to Moses as one speaks to a friend (Ex. 33:11).
Lesson 15 - January 17, 2024
Faithfulness of God. Example: Abraham and Sarah, a couple who has faith despite doubt and human mistakes (Mk 9:23; Rom 4:20-21).
Lesson 14 - January 10, 2024
Faith. Even in the unknown, we can walk out in faith (Heb 11:8). It is not dependent on sight (Jn 20:29). Faith gives us confidence in God (1 Sam 17; Job 13:25). How faith works when sharing the gospel (Acts 28:24).
Lesson 13 - January 3, 2024
Eternal security. Sin unto death (Jas 1:15; 5:19-20). Once saved, always saved. Once people are genuinely saved, they cannot lose their salvation (Rom 8:38-39; Jn 10:28-29; Eph 1:13-14).

The essence of God. Who is God? The attributes of God help us to better understand Him, ourselves, and how to relate Him to others.
Lesson 11 - December 13, 2023
Spiritual endurance. Examples: Job, Paul, Abraham, Jesus, and Moses. Your endurance fosters spiritual growth. Reacting vs. responding in faith.
Lesson 10 - December 6, 2023
Doctrine of spiritual flexibility. Spiritual flexibility begins with personal contentment (Phil 4:11-13). Examples of spirituality flexible men: Joseph, Job, and Daniel.

The Cross to the Crown. Difference between spiritual infancy, adolescence, maturity, heroism, and the friend of God (Heb 5:13-14). Why the believer should be interested in advancing spiritually (Rom 10:17).
Lesson 8 - November 15, 2023
The Christian way of life continued. Basic rules for the Christian life. The new commandment (Jn 13:34-35). By faith and study, you can change your habit of thinking (Phil 4:8) and be salt and light to the world (Mt 5:13-14).
Lesson 7 - November 8, 2023
Christian vs. spiritual walk. The Christian walk involves following Christ (Jn 5:30; Mt 4:4), whereas the spiritual walk is empowered by the Holy Spirit.
Lesson 6 - November 1, 2023
The Christian walk. New Testament words for "walking" (Eph 4:1-2, 2:1-3; 1 Jn 2:6). Walking in light vs. walking in darkness (Eph 5:8). God intends for us to be filled with the Spirit and learn His word. You are either walking in light, or you are not.
Lesson 5 - October 25, 2023
The Blood of Christ (Part Two). Metonymy vs synecdoche. The blood reminds us that Jesus died a violent death (metonymy). It also represents His entire body and the sacrifice He made (synecdoche). How to access the power of His blood after salvation (1 Jn 1:7).
Lesson 4 - October 18, 2023
The Blood of Christ (Part One). Christ's blood provides our salvation (Jn 1:12; 12:32) and can be utilized in our Christian walk (1 Jn 1:7).
Lesson 3 - October 11, 2023
Ambassadorship continued (1 Cor 5:16-21). As ambassadors to Christ, we are entrusted to tell others the Good News, the doctrine of reconciliation. What it means to be a living epistle (2 Cor 3:1-3). Biblical spirituality (Rom 8:5-11).
Lesson 2 - October 4, 2023
Consequences of not abiding (1 Jn 3:15, 5:20). Ambassadorship. Examples of people in the Bible who remained available to God.
Lesson 1 - September 27, 2023
Introduction to Gene Cunningham’s book, “Basic Training Field Manual,” the basis of this series. Abiding: Absolute Thinking (Jn 15:1-10). A believer who abides in God and His word will be challenged, but will also be blessed (Gen 50:20).
